The First Grade Showcase

A Winter Night's Dream

Our first graders recently performed in their fall showcase, A Winter Night's Dream.  We are so proud of their performance and we are pleased to share that performance with you here.

As the program continue to develop, we wanted to share a bit of our performance philosophy with you.  With the development of any performing art, the focus in the first years of study is around building foundational skills which prepare students for deeper application in their performing arts.  With our kindergarten, first grade and second grade students, we plan to alternate between parent informances and showcases.  These will allow all students to perform and focus on the use of their foundational skills and being on stage.  As they continue to develop, expect performances to be deeper and more complex.  These foundational skills yield to plays, concerts, art gallery shows, piano recitals, and musicals.  We try to record every performance to create a library, but some of the material is copyrighted by the publisher.  Whenever possible, we will post performances here on the blog.  If copyright does not allow public posting, but allows distribution to the performers, we will make those recordings available at our cost.

Thanks for being a part of the journey. Enjoy the latest performance !
